Donation and Refund Policy

How the Foundation handles designated gifts, refund requests, recurring donations and receipts.

Charitable Gifts

Donations made through this website are intended as charitable contributions to Power Up Futures Foundation, Inc. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Designated Gifts

A donor may select only a designation made available through the official donation form. The Foundation may decline a restriction that:

  • Is inconsistent with its charitable purposes.
  • Cannot reasonably be administered.
  • Creates an improper private benefit.
  • Requires unlawful activity.
  • Relates to a program that is no longer operating.
Where Most Needed

An unrestricted "Where Most Needed" gift may be applied to approved charitable programs, participant support, operations, safeguarding, technology, administration, compliance and other mission-related needs.

Refunds

Charitable donations are generally final. A donor may request review where:

  • A duplicate transaction occurred.
  • The wrong amount was entered.
  • The payment was unauthorized.
  • A technical error occurred.
  • The Foundation determines that accepting the gift would be inappropriate.

Requests should be submitted promptly and include donor name, donation date, amount, transaction reference and reason for the request. Approval is not automatic.

Recurring Donations

A donor may cancel future recurring payments through the available donor portal or by contacting the Foundation. Cancellation does not ordinarily reverse donations already processed.

Receipts

Donation acknowledgments identify:

  • The Foundation.
  • The contribution date.
  • The contribution amount where applicable.
  • Whether goods or services were provided in exchange.
