Prize, Scholarship and Award Disclosure

Power Up Futures Foundation may announce proposed scholarships, grants, stipends, prizes, internships or other sponsor-backed opportunities in connection with its programs. No opportunity is represented as confirmed until its funding and governing terms are documented.

No Guarantee

Registration, participation, competition, nomination or selection as a finalist does not by itself guarantee:

  • A cash prize.
  • A scholarship.
  • A grant.
  • A stipend.
  • An internship.
  • Travel support.
  • Equipment.
  • Certification support.
  • Employment.
  • Investment.
Confirmation Standard

A public award announcement identifies:

  • The confirmed sponsor or donor, where disclosure is authorized.
  • The award type.
  • The number of intended recipients.
  • Eligibility requirements.
  • Selection process.
  • Material restrictions.
  • Anticipated timeline.
  • Whether the value is cash or in-kind.
  • Any tax responsibility of the recipient.
Targets vs Available Funds

Funding and award figures appearing in campaign, sponsor or strategic materials may be targets. A target is not an available fund. Figures are labeled as:

  • Confirmed
  • Partially Funded
  • Fundraising Target
  • Proposed
  • Closed
Selection

Award decisions follow published criteria and documented conflict-of-interest controls. The Foundation may verify identity, age, eligibility, participation, submitted work, institutional status and compliance with program rules.

Changes

The Foundation may modify or cancel an opportunity where funding, eligibility, compliance, security or implementation conditions require it. Where practical, material changes will be communicated to affected participants.
