Every Young Person Deserves a Safe Pathway

• The best interests of the young person come first.
• Abuse, exploitation, harassment and discrimination are prohibited.
• Participants should understand how their information and images may be used.
• Minors require appropriate parent or guardian involvement.
• Reports are handled seriously, promptly and as confidentially as possible.
• Retaliation against a person raising a genuine concern is prohibited.

Participant registration may require date of birth. Participants under 18 must provide applicable parent or guardian information and consent.

Verified consent is required before a minor:

• Appears in public promotional materials.
• Is publicly identified.
• Submits media for public publication.
• Participates in a publicly broadcast activity.
• Travels through a Foundation-organized activity.

The Foundation's principal youth pathways are not intended for children under 13. Information identified as having been submitted by a child under 13 is reviewed and removed unless lawful parental authorization and an approved child-specific process apply.

• Engage in sexual or exploitative conduct with a participant.
• Request unnecessary private images or communications.
• Meet a minor alone in an unapproved setting.
• Use degrading, threatening or discriminatory language.
• Exchange money, gifts or favors for inappropriate access.
• Publish a participant's private information without authorization.
• Retaliate against a participant who reports a concern.

• Use approved channels for participant communications.
• Avoid unnecessary one-to-one private messaging with minors.
• Record or supervise online activities where appropriate.
• Do not disclose participant contact details to other participants, sponsors or employers without authorization.

• Acknowledge the report.
• Take immediate protective action.
• Restrict access to a program.
• Preserve relevant records.
• Refer the matter to appropriate authorities.
• Conduct or commission a review.
• Inform affected parties where appropriate.
